Suggested Driving Directions

Getting to Cleveland

  • From Detroit/Toledo: Take I-75 south to I-280 south to the Ohio Turnpike. Take the Turnpike east to I-90. Follow I-90 east to Cleveland.
  • From Pittsburgh/Youngstown: Take I-76 west to I-80 west. Take I-80 to I-480 west. Take I-480 west to I-77 north and follow it to Cleveland.
  • From Cincinnati/Columbus: Take I-71 north. I-71 north becomes I-90 east. Follow I-90 east to Cleveland.
  • From Dayton: Take I-75 north to I-70. Take I-70 east to I-71. Take I-71 north. I-71 north becomes I-90 east. Follow I-90 east to Cleveland.

Getting to Cleveland Botanical Garden

  • From I-90 eastbound: Take Exit 177 to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Turn right and proceed south for two miles to University Circle.
  • From I-77 northbound or I-71 northbound: Take I-90 eastbound to exit 177. Turn right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and proceed south for two miles to University Circle.

From Downtown Cleveland

  1. Travel 3.10 miles on Prospect Avenue. At the intersection of Prospect Avenue and East 55th Street, turn left onto East 55th Street.
  2. Travel 300 feet on East 55th Street. At the intersection of East 55th Street and Euclid Avenue, turn right onto Euclid Avenue.
  3. Travel 2.5 miles on Euclid Avenue. At the intersection of Euclid Avenue and East Boulevard, turn left onto East Boulevard (After you make the turn onto East Boulevard, Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra, will be on your immediate right. The Cleveland Museum of Art will be on your immediate left.)
  4. Travel 0.3 miles on East Boulevard. At the intersection of East Boulevard and Wade Oval Drive, turn left onto Wade Oval Drive. (After you make the turn onto Wade Oval Drive, the Cleveland Museum of Art will be on your immediate left. Cleveland Botanical Garden will be on your immediate right.)

From Cleveland Hopkins International Airport

  1. Travel 8.3 miles on Interstate 71 North.
  2. As you enter the downtown district, Interstate 71 North becomes Interstate 90 East. (The downtown skyline and Jacobs Field, home of the Cleveland Indians, will be on your left.) Remain on Interstate 90 East, move to the second lane from the right curb, and travel 1.7 miles.
  3. Exit on Chester Avenue. Travel 2.8 miles on Chester Avenue. As you cross East 105th Street, you enter the University Circle district of Cleveland. (The lagoon fronting the Cleveland Museum of Art will be on your left.)
  4. At the intersection of Chester Avenue and Euclid Avenue, turn left. Travel 400 feet on Euclid Avenue.
  5. At the intersection of Euclid Avenue and East Boulevard, turn left onto East Boulevard (After you make the turn onto East Boulevard, Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra, will be on your immediate right. The Cleveland Museum of Art will be on your immediate left.)
  6. Travel 0.3 miles on East Boulevard. At the intersection of East Boulevard and Wade Oval Drive, turn left onto Wade Oval Drive.
