Slavic Village Learning Farm
East 54th Street and Fleet Avenue

The fourth farm, funded by The Cleveland Foundation, opened in May, 2008 in Cleveland’s Slavic Village in an area with one of our country’s highest foreclosure rates.  The Slavic Village Learning Farm is constructed primarily with lasagna beds, built on top of asphalt, and includes a metal storage container that has found new life as tool shed with a green roof.

The local community has been very supportive of the positive impact the farm has brought to the area.  The farm employs 10-12 students from South High School and Whitney Young High School.
