Buckeye Learning Farm
Green Corps launched its Buckeye Learning Farm in 2010 in partnership with Buckeye Area Development Corporation. This learning farm is Green Corps’ primary site for extending the growing season by utilizing high tunnels, which are modified, simple greenhouses that allow more types of crops to be grown during winter months.
Buckeye Learning Farm also is host to community gardening plots in which surrounding community members can grow and maintain their own garden plots free of charge. A community fruit orchard also was added to Buckeye Learning Farm in early 2012.
Each year, the Buckeye Learning Farm employs an average of 20 Green Corps student employees.
