Teacher resource kits


Supplement your classroom learning by borrowing a BotaniCool Kit. Most contain curricula, pictures, books, activities and materials to enhance your students' knowledge. Each Kit may be borrowed for a three week period and is renewable by request. Kits are created using the Ohio Academic Science Content Standards and are available at no charge for Teacher Members.

Linking Literature and Plant Science (Pre-K - Grade 2)

Picture books inspire wonder and keep students engaged. Teachers can implement plant-based lessons using literature including books from "Growing Good Kids Excellence in Children's Literature." Recent trends in education have focused on an integrated curriculum. This kit includes many books, curriculum and supplies.

To celebrate trees, incorporate this kit packed with fiction and non-fiction literature, teaching curriculum and manipulatives into your next nature-based unit of study.

This kit is packed full of materials, curriculum and literature emphasizing why soil is so important while learning its properties through inquiry-based science experiments.


Seedfolks (Grades 4 - 8)

Paul Fleischman’s wonderful book Seedfolks is set in Cleveland, and explores a community coming together through gardening.

Photosynthesis (Grades 6 - 8)
