Annual Members-Only Orchid Sale

Members of Holden Forests & Gardens have the exclusive opportunity to purchase display orchids at the conclusion of Orchid Mania on Sunday, March 11. In order to give more members the opportunity to purchase the orchids, we are limiting the number of orchid plants that can be purchased to 10 per membership.

Members-Only Orchid Sale Schedule:
Sunday, March 11, 2018

3pm: Members can begin lining up in the Garden Room of the Botanical Garden to receive a ticket for the sale. No more than 1 ticket per membership will be given.

3:30pm: One ticket per membership will be distributed in sequential order. A maximum of ten orchids may be purchased per membership, and two people per membership will be allowed to participate in the sale.

5pm: Members with tickets will return to the Garden Room to line up in number order, based on ticket number.

5:30pm: The sale will begin. Members will enter the sale in sequential order, 30 ticket holders at a time. The sale will end when there are no ticket holders left.

  • Orchids may not be claimed or reserved before the sale
  • Guest passes are not permitted to be used for access to the sale.

Please note that because of the exotic butterflies housed in our Costa Rica biome, our updated USDA/APHIS permits require that anything removed from the biome be fully destroyed through deep-freezing, autoclave, or incineration. Therefore any orchids on display for Orchid Mania in the Costa Rica biome will not be available for sale. This rule does not apply to orchids on display in our Madagascar biome.
