Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration

Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26

Earth Day, a global event celebrated annually on April 22, promotes environmental efforts and education.

Arbor Day celebrates the beauty, value and importance of trees. Ohio observes National Arbor Day on the last Friday in April each year (April 24 in 2015).

The first 100 children to visit the Garden on Saturday, April 25 or Sunday, April 26, can share how they love the Earth to receive a free copy of the book Our House is Round: A Kids Book About Why Protecting Our Earth Matters by Yolanda Kondonassis.  Ms. Kondonassis is a Cleveland Native and founder and director of Earth at Heart, a non-profit organization devoted to increasing earth awareness through the arts.

Meet Ms. Kondonassis in person during a booksigning opportunity on Saturday, April 25 at 1pm.

In addition, children celebrate both Earth and Arbor Days by making recycled crafts in Hershey Children's Garden from 2-4pm each day.
